Pam and Mimo Camara have been teaching Guinea dance in the Hudson Valley for over twenty years. Mimo is a former lead dancer with Guinea's national troupe; Pam has studied dance since age 5 and has the honor of studying with some of Guinea's finest on annual trips to the couple’s home in Guinea. Accompanied by powerful live drums, this class begins with a full warm-up. Then, traditional steps are taught to their corresponding rhythms. Bare feet, comfortable clothing and an open, non self-judging attitude are all that is required in this welcoming environment. Contact Pam for more info at email@example.com
